08 - 8 slices brioche or challah bread, about 3/4 inch thick

10 - 1 1/2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
11 - 1/2 cup pure maple syrup

# How To:

03 - Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, soaking for 10 to 15 seconds on each side. Let excess drip off.
04 - Place soaked bread slices on the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Work in batches, adding remaining butter as needed.
05 - Arrange the cooked slices on serving plates. Top generously with fresh berries, drizzle with maple syrup, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
